St. Augustine MVA sends one to local hospital thumbnail

ST. AUGUSTINE, FL – Wildwood Drive and US Route 1 South was the scene of a local MVA that sent one elderly female to Flagler Hospital with minor injuries on Wednesday afternoon.

Units from St. Johns County Sheriffs Office responded to the call and requested units from St Johns County Fire units when they arrived. Engine 11, Rescue 11, and Rescue 5 where called to the scene where one female was evaluated on scene then transported. The drivers of both vehicles walked away from the accident uninjured.

The cause of the accident is under investigation by the Florida Highway Patrol and SJSO. The road surface was wet from a day long rain storm with light rain still falling when the accident occurred.
