Single Vehicle Rollover closes Shores Blvd. thumbnail

St. Augustine, Fl – A single vehicle rollover tied up traffic on Shores Blvd near Aurora Ave. for about an hour on Sunday morning. The vehicle sat on its roof while St. Johns County Sheriff units investigated the scene of the single car accident.

Witnesses on the scene said “..the vehicle just drifted off the road and hit the light pole. It went up in the air and landed on it’s roof.”  The driver and a young child were reportedly returning from a family event when the accident occurred.

A sheriff’s department Deputy stated “..The A arm is broken but we are not sure if the accident is related to a mechanical failure or some other cause yet.”  The accident is still under investigation at this time though there were no injuries reported.

St. Johns County Fire Rescue Engine 11 and Rescue 21 responded to the scene to check the driver and passenger and secure any hazards on the accident scene.
