St. Augustine, Fl – A mobile home on Treasure Beach Road was destroyed when fire ripped through it on Thursday afternoon. One man, Jimmy Retetagos, escaped the blaze when a neighbor called to him from outside the home. Sandy Middlemiss, who lives next door, saw smoke coming from the home and called 911. She stated “..I screamed so loud, both their names, that it woke Jimmy up”.
St. Johns County Fire Rescue PIO Jeremy Robshaw “.. the fire appears to have started in the rear of the home.” Robshaw also stated he believe the home would be listed as “..a total loss.”
