Fire Destroys Home In Hastings


Hastings, Fl - Units from St. Johns County Fire Rescue where dispatcher to a home on Gregory Drive in Flagler Estates around 10:45pm on Monday for a reported home on fire. Arriving units discovered a triple wide mobile home, fully involved and partially collapse. The home was reported to be vacant at the time of the fire and an investigation into the cause is ongoing.

Units from Station 8, Station 6, Station 11, Station 14 and officers from SJSO responded to the scene. A rural water supply system was set up and water continually shuttle into it while fire fighters battled the blaze.

Spokesman for the SJCFR, Jeremy Robshaw, called the home a “..total lose from heavy fire damage.” in a statement released on Tuesday. There were no reports of injuries, civilian or fire service, and the fire was brought under control after about two hours.
