Lightning Strike Blamed For House Fire In Orange Park

Orange Park, FL – On a rainy afternoon June 21st, 2010 units from Clay County Fire Rescue and the Orange Park Fire Department responded to a structure fire on Red Oak Circle in Orange Park, Florida. Arriving units reported a working structure fire and quickly extinguished the blaze. Suspected cause of the structure fire was a lightning strike.

A total of 4 engines, 1 rescue, 1 battalion chief and the CCFR fire chief responded to the incident.  No injuries were reported by the occupants or by the responding firefighters.
