Clay County Firefighters Battle House Fire In Orange Park


Orange Park, FL – Fire Service News Clay County correspondent Chris Dilley reported that units from Clay County Fire Rescue responded to a fire in the upper floor of a residence in the Tanglewood area of Orange Park shortly after 10:00pm on Saturday, July 3rd, 2010.

As fire fighters arrived, they were met with heavy fire on the roof of the home and what appeared to be a fire in the attic of the structure. The residents had already escaped from the home when fire fighters arrived.

Engines 14, 15, 17, 18, Air 14 and Rescue 14 all responded, providing water supply and man power at the scene. Battalion Chief 1 responded and assumed command of the scene. There were no fire service or civilian injuries reported as a result of the fire, and the cause of the fire remains under investigation at this time.
